"A show that moved the audience from roaring laughter to tears. The show really makes you think about how you treat those around you, without
slapping you in the face. We had a great time producing this play."--Bruce MacDonald, Edwin Parr High School drama teacher
Congratulations to the Edgeley High School (Edgeley, ND) production for finishing third in the state one-act competition!
"We just finished five successful performances of After Math and my students really enjoyed working with your script. Your script was our entry into the Massachusetts High School Drama Guild State Festival, and for the first time in our history with the festival, we made it to the semifinals! Very exciting! Thank you for giving us characters and monologues that allowed the students to express genuine emotion, both with comedic intent and with sincere depth."--Rebecca Kidwell, Braintree High School English Teacher and Drama Director

SYNOPSIS
Emmett disappears in the middle of a math class, collected by a man and a woman wearing suits. Where did he go? Why? Through a series of scenes and monologues, those left behind come up with their own explanations for his mysterious disappearance. He's off to his own private rock concert. He was kidnapped by aliens. He was an alien himself. He created a mural that offended the school. A victim of bullies, he engineered his own disappearance...and a multitude of other guesses. Slowly we begin to realize that no one really knew him. Who is Emmett, and why is it that no one paid any attention to him until he was gone?
